Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)

A new approach to community mental health

Family Service & Guidance Center (FSGC) is a provisionally accredited Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.

CCBHCs provide whole-person care. That means offering a full range of mental health care and substance use treatment that emphasizes overall wellness and the connection between a person’s physical and mental health. As a CCBHC, FSGC will:

    • Serve anyone regardless of their ability to pay, their age or their place or where they live.
    • Have crisis services available 24/7/365.
    • Deliver coordinated, comprehensive mental health care so individuals and families don’t have to piece services together from multiple providers in several locations on their own.
    • Provide Care Navigators – professionals who will help people navigate the complicated physical health care, mental health care, addiction treatment and social service systems.

What does that mean for people who come to FSGC for help?

CCBHCs offer several benefits that will help individuals and families heal faster, including:

  • Utilizing proven treatment methods on a consistent basis.
  • Expanding efforts to serve people in their homes, in the community or via telehealth, whenever possible.
  • Increasing levels of peer-to-peer and family support.
  • Enhancing outreach efforts to underserved communities and eliminating service barriers.
