Assertive Community Treatment in Topeka

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Meeting many needs with an array of services

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) helps youth ages 13-20 with serious mental health needs who might otherwise find themselves in intense services like a psychiatric hospital. It’s also beneficial for teens coming back home from the hospital. ACT offers various services to help:

  • Frequent face-to-face services
  • Support for teens and families in their community
  • Help with both mental health and substance use issues
  • Peer and parent support
  • Teaching families about mental health and involving them in treatment
  • Connecting with community organizations and professionals
  • Support for finding jobs and doing well in school
