New COVID-19 guidance for clients and families

The health and safety of our clients and their families is always our first priority at Family Service & Guidance Center. With the recent rise in COVID-19 case in Shawnee County and across northeast Kansas, FSGC will be putting some new procedures in place.

  • When you arrive, reception staff will ask you two questions:
    1. Are you or is someone in your household experiencing symptoms of illness today?
    2. Have you or someone in your household had any known exposures to someone who was COVID positive in the past week?

Clients receiving services in the community will be asked the same questions. Anyone who answers "yes" to either of them will be asked to switch their appointment to telehealth or be rescheduled, whichever is more appropriate.

  • Lobby areas will be rearranged to promote social distancing.
  • Social distancing is encouraged at all FSGC locations and with FSGC staff members out in the community.
  • At this time, masks are not required, but we highly encourage clients, family members and staff members to wear one to protect themselves and others.
