What time should you arrive at FSGC?

- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

- Please arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
We encourage you to phone ahead or pre-register for mental health services in Topeka, if possible. This helps ensure the availability of FSGC staff based on your insurance coverage.
If you have not made an appointment*
Admissions paperwork is complete
- To be seen in the morning, you should arrive by 10:30 a.m.
- To be seen in the afternoon, you should arrive by 1:30 p.m.
Admissions paperwork is not complete
- To be seen in the morning, you should arrive by 10:15 a.m.
- To be seen in the afternoon, you should arrive by 1:15 p.m.

Family Service & Guidance Center is located at 325 and 327 S.W. Frazier Ave., near 6th & Gage. Note that psychiatry services are in the building at 325 S.W. Frazier Ave. If you need help finding us, call 785.232.5005 for directions or Click Here for Map Directions.
- For the first appointment, if the individual is under age 14, at least one parent or legal guardian must attend.
- Please check in at the front desk when you arrive. The receptionist will review your paperwork and make a copy of your insurance or medical card and identification.
- At your first appointment, you will…
a. Meet with an Admissions Specialist to finalize paperwork and ask questions.
b. You will meet with a therapist at the initial appointment and discuss your treatment options.
c. Schedule a second appointment, if one is needed.
