FSGC Foundation awards $74K in grants

Thousands of children and families served at Family Service & Guidance Center will benefit for years to come from over $74,000 in FSGC Foundation grants awarded to a variety of programs.

The annual FSGC Foundation grant application process is open to all FSGC employees and is an opportunity to request 2025 funding for a new initiative or major items needed for an existing program. Grants are typically made for larger amounts and for items that are difficult to find funding for, including specialized training and conferences, large playground equipment and quarterly parenting classes. Grant amounts have varied from $1,200 to $20,000.

“It’s gratifying to be able to award funding that helps our programs grow and meets the needs of our community for years to come,” said Pam Evans, FSGC Director of Marketing & Development and Vice President of the FSGC Foundation. “The people we treat deserve the best possible mental health care, and these grants help our staff members provide it.”

The Foundation’s board of trustees met in September to review applications, and the following awards were made for 2025:

  • Outpatient Therapy: EDMR Training, $4,150. The grant will pay for the training of two additional clinicians in the practice of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
