Parenting is the toughest job in the world. That's why Family Service & Guidance Center offers a range of programs and presentations designed to make raising children and teens less stressful. 

Parenting: Because kids don't come with instructions (8-week class)

This FREE class will meet at Family Service & Guidance Center (327 S.W. Frazier Ave.) in the cafeteria once a week for eight consecutive weeks from 3-4:30 p.m. In the interest of participants' safety, the decision may be made to offer the class via Zoom videoconference.

The next class is scheduled to begin January 24, 2022. Sign-up will begin two weeks prior to the class. To sign up, click here.

This course is intended for residents of northeast Kansas. Local residents only, please.

  • The first three Thursdays of each month, FSGC will post short videos about the Parenting Topic of the Month on our Facebook page ( The videos will offer practical, real-world parenting tips and advice.

  • On the fourth Thirsday, you'll have the chance to ask an FSGC professional your questions about the Topic of the Month in a live Q&A session via Zoom.

We'll also answer pre-submitted questions at that time. Live Q&A sessions will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m. CST.

IDDT treats teens with both mental health issues and substance use problems, addressing both at the same time. FSGC is the only mental health provider in the country that provides this innovative treatment.
