Staff/Crisis Clinician

FSGC is a nonprofit community mental health center that has been improving the lives of children in greater Topeka & Northeast Kansas for over 100 yrs.   The FT Staff/Crisis Clinician will divide their time between our outpatient and crisis clinics.  The clinician is needed to provide outpatient psychotherapy services and crisis intervention services to children & families.  The clinician shall have, at a minimum, a master’s degree in a recognized mental health discipline & have a valid license to practice in the state of KS.  On-call work may be required.  Experience in working with severely emotionally disturbed children & youth preferred.  FSGC provides generous benefits which include the opportunity to obtain clinical supervision for advance licensure.

Children's Autism Program Director

Family Service & Guidance Center, one of the Midwest’s leaders and an innovator in children’s mental health care, has an exciting new opportunity available. FSGC is accepting applications for the position of Children’s Autism Program Director. The program is being implemented to meet a tremendous need for children’s autism services in northeast Kansas.

The Program Director shall be or eligible to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, education or a master’s degree in a recognized mental health discipline and have a valid license to practice in the state of Kansas. The Director shall have experience in program development and sustainment to include recruiting staff, identifying funding opportunities and promoting services to develop new service delivery markets. The Children’s Autism Program Director will manage the start-up and ongoing day-to-day operational aspects of the Program and will be a member of Family Service & Guidance Center’s Leadership Team. This positon will provide direct clinical services, clinical supervision and consultative services. Supervisory experience preferred and experience working with autistic children and their families is required. Benefits apply.

Attendant Care Provider - Part-Time

Part-time ACP's are needed to work one-on-one with children who have behavioral health barriers and are diagnosed with a severe emotional disorder. ACP's are responsible for assisting children in learning skills established by the treatment team. These skills are aimed at improving their behavioral health to help improve their functioning in all areas of life. Services are provided in a variety of settings including at school, in the home and out in the community.

Desired Skills - People who are able to build relationships and connect with children. *People who are willing to do fun interactive activities including things like playing board games, going fishing, and playing basketball to help children learn skills in a natural setting. *People who are organized and able to manage difficult schedules and documentation. *People who are able to manage stressful situations and behaviors. *People who are able to think quickly on their feet. *People who are willing to transport children in their own vehicle within Shawnee County.

Position Requirements - Individuals 18 years of age or older with one year post-secondary education in a social service related field, one year of documented experience with children, or a combination of education and experience. Must have valid Kansas driver's license, up to date car insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Must pass a background and drug test.

Crisis Attendant Care Provider

Enjoy working with children? Individuals 21 years of age & older needed to work one on one with Severely Emotionally Disturbed Children ages 5 to 17 in crisis house & community. Applicants must have a high school diploma & a combination of 2 years of documented experience & post-secondary education in a human services-related field. CRP ACP's must successfully pass all applicable background checks & possess a valid Kansas driver's license. A good driving record, proof of insurance & reliable transportation is necessary to complete job duties. Crisis House is staffed 24/7. Position is hourly, on-call. Part-time on-call staff must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Dynamic Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Practice seeks APRN or PA to join our nationally recognized pediatric community mental health center in Topeka, Kansas. Join our team & use your clinical skills to provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to children & adolescents in one of the premiere child psychiatry practices in the Midwest. Duties include, but are not limited to: diagnostic consultation, pharmacotherapy pursuant to written protocol and select individual therapy cases with consent of supervisor. Required education: Graduate with Master’s in Nursing or DNP or Graduate of accredited PA Program and Kansas licensure. Mental Health Specialist 15 Hours Per Week

PT Mental Health Specialist (MHS) needed to work with emotionally disordered children ages 7-18 years of age. Experience working with children is required. Groups are co-led & focus on social/life skills. Prefer a Bachelor's in a related Mental Health Field. MHS must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work with children/youth at the office or community settings. MHS must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license & must successfully complete a series of background checks. Hours are from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday-Friday.
