Part-Time Attendant Care Providers

Part-time ACP's are needed to work one-on-one with children who have behavioral health barriers and are diagnosed with a severe emotional disorder. ACP's are responsible for assisting children in learning skills established by the treatment team. These skills are aimed at improving their behavioral health to help improve their functioning in all areas of life. Services are provided in a variety of settings including at school, in the home and out in the community.

Desired Skills - People who are able to build relationships and connect with children. *People who are willing to do fun interactive activities including things like playing board games, going fishing, and playing basketball to help children learn skills in a natural setting. *People who are organized and able to manage difficult schedules and documentation. *People who are able to manage stressful situations and behaviors. *People who are able to think quickly on their feet. *People who are willing to transport children in their own vehicle within Shawnee County.

Position Requirements - Individuals 18 years of age or older with one year post-secondary education in a social service related field, one year of documented experience with children, or a combination of education and experience. Must have valid Kansas driver's license, up to date car insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Must pass a background and drug test.

Crisis Attendant Care Provider

Enjoy working with children? Individuals 21 years of age & older needed to work one on one with Severely Emotionally Disturbed Children ages 5 to 17 in crisis house & community. Applicants must have a high school diploma & a combination of 2 years of documented experience & post-secondary education in a human services-related field. CRP ACP's must successfully pass all applicable background checks & possess a valid Kansas driver's license. A good driving record, proof of insurance & reliable transportation is necessary to complete job duties. Crisis House is staffed 24/7. Position is hourly, on-call. Part-time on-call staff must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

CPST – Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment

FT CPST Case Manager needed to work with severely emotionally disturbed children & their families. CPST is a face-to-face intervention with the consumer present; however, family or other collaterals may be involved. The majority of CPST contacts must occur in community locations where the person lives, works, attends school, and/or socializes.

Position Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in mental health field preferred and/or equivalent experience.
*Experience providing services in a community based setting with knowledge of community resources is preferred.
*Must possess ability to work independently; as well as, collaboratively.
*Clear & effective communication skills required to provide service to families & community stakeholders.
*People who are willing to transport children in their own vehicle within Shawnee County.
*Valid Kansas driver’s license, up to date car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
*Ability to pass a background and drug test.
* People who are reliable and can be counted on by the children.

Cook

30 hour Cook needed. Hours are 7:30 am to 1:30 pm M-F. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience as a cook in school or daycare setting preferred, serving up to 150 people.

*2 FT CRP ACP positions with benefits available. Position hours are: Thursday - Monday or Saturday - Wednesday, 2:30pm- 10:30pm.

Applicant must have a high school diploma & a combination of 2 years of documented experience & post-secondary education in a human services-related field. CRP ACP's must successfully pass background checks, motor vehicle screens, and possess a valid Kansas driver's license. A good driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transportation is necessary to complete job duties. A TB test is required to be on file before assignment to CRP shifts.

Temporary Summer Mental Health Specialist (MHS - YDC)

Temporary MHS-YDC needed to work with emotionally disordered children ages 6 and up in group settings (35 hrs per week).

Experience working with children is required. Groups are co-led & focus on social/life skills. Prefer a Bachelor's in a related Mental Health Field. MHS must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work with children/youth at the office or community settings. MHS must possess a valid Kansas driver's license & must successfully complete a series of background checks. Positions run late May through Mid-August of 2017.

Care Coordinator

 FSGC is seeking to hire a FT Care Coordinator to provide services to severely emotionally disabled (SED) children/youth and their families. This goal-directed medically necessary service is for children/youth with severe emotional disturbance through which the individual is assisted in obtaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. All interventions provided shall be related to specific goals set forth in the consumer’s treatment plan. This position is specifically designed to target those clients engaged in psychosocial services.


*Applicant must have a BA/BS degree in a human services related field or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience and education in the human services field
*Applicant must successfully pass the background investigations, possess a valid KS driver’s license, have a good driving record, have proof of auto insurance and have reliable transportation to complete just duties
*Applicant must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work with children/youth/families or other collaterals in the office or community based setting
*Applicant must be able and willing to adjust work schedules based on their case load and the needs of the individual clients
*Applicant must have satisfactory verbal and written communication skills and possess effective interpersonal skills to promote teamwork
