Attendant Care Provider

Part-time ACP's are needed to work one-on-one with children who have behavioral health barriers and are diagnosed with a severe emotional disorder. ACP's are responsible for assisting children in learning skills established by the treatment team. These skills are aimed at improving their behavioral health to help improve their functioning in all areas of life. Services are provided in a variety of settings including at school, in the home and out in the community.

Desired Skills - People who are able to build relationships and connect with children. *People who are willing to do fun interactive activities including things like playing board games, going fishing, and playing basketball to help children learn skills in a natural setting. *People who are organized and able to manage difficult schedules and documentation. *People who are able to manage stressful situations and behaviors. *People who are able to think quickly on their feet. *People who are willing to transport children in their own vehicle within Shawnee County.

Position Requirements - Individuals 18 years of age or older with one year post-secondary education in a social service related field, one year of documented experience with children, or a combination of education and experience. Must have valid Kansas driver's license, up to date car insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Must pass a background and drug test.

Crisis Attendant Care Provider

Enjoy working with children? Individuals 21 years of age & older needed to work one on one with Severely Emotionally Disturbed Children ages 5 to 17 in crisis house & community. Applicants must have a high school diploma & a combination of 2 years of documented experience & post-secondary education in a human services-related field. CRP ACP's must successfully pass all applicable background checks & possess a valid Kansas driver's license. A good driving record, proof of insurance & reliable transportation is necessary to complete job duties. Crisis House is staffed 24/7. Position is hourly, on-call. Part-time on-call staff must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Staff Clinician

Family Service & Guidance Center (FSGC) is a nonprofit community mental health center that specializes in meeting children's unique needs. 

Licensed Clinician needed to provide outpatient psychotherapy services to children & families. Staff clinician shall have, at a minimum, a master's degree in a recognized mental health discipline & have a valid license to practice in the state of KS. This position will provide assessments, individual, group & family therapy. Experience in working with severely emotionally disturbed children & youth preferred.

Full-Time Crisis Attendant Care Provider

FT Crisis Attendant Care Provider opening available.  Individuals 21 years of age & older needed to work one on one with Severely Emotionally Disturbed Children ages 5 to 17 in crisis house & community. The clients have emotional or behavioral disorders.  Applicants must have a high school diploma & a combination of 2 years of documented experience & post-secondary education in a human services-related field. Position hours are Thursday thru Monday 2:30pm to 10:30 pm.  Benefits apply with this position.

CPST – Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment

 FT CPST Case Manager needed to work with severely emotionally disturbed children & their families. CPST is a face-to-face intervention with the consumer present; however, family or other collaterals may be involved. The majority of CPST contacts must occur in community locations where the person lives, works, attends school, and/or socializes.

Position Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree in mental health field preferred and/or equivalent experience.                                                                                           *Experience providing services in a community based setting with knowledge of community resources is preferred.
*Must possess ability to work independently; as well as, collaboratively.
*Clear & effective communication skills required to provide service to families & community stakeholders.
*People who are willing to transport children in their own vehicle within Shawnee County.
*Valid Kansas driver’s license, up to date car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
*Ability to pass a background and drug test.
* People who are reliable and can be counted on by the children.
* People who are organized and able to manage difficult schedules and documentation.
* People who are able to manage stressful situations and behaviors.
